Michael Kane has published widely on topics in the educational field with a special attention to the issue of test validity. Given his exceptional track record of research in the area of validity, Kane has been appointed as the first holder of the Messick Research Chair in Test validity at Educational testing Service (ETS) and is internationally recognized as a leading scholar in this field. Next to having hold academic positions at universities such as the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana) and the University of Wisconsin (Madison), Prof.dr. Kane (PhD in Education from Stanford University) also served as director of the National Council for Bar Examiners, as vice president of research at American College Testing, and as director of test development at the National Leage of Nursing.
