Research Schools at the Faculty of Educational Sciences
The Faculty of Education hosts several local and national research schools. The schools offer courses and workshops for PhD candidates within committed professional and social communities.
- The National Graduate School in Educational Research (NATED)
- The National Research School in Natural Science Didactics (Norw.)
- The National Research School in Humanities Studies in Pedagogy (Norw.)
- The Research School in Learning, Communication and ICT (Completed)
PhD candidates at the research schools are generally expected to be admitted to a PhD programme at one of the universities in Norway.
Nordic cooperation
Internationally the faculty is engaged in collaborative PhD activities at the Nordic level, both through NATED and through InterMedia and the Department of Educational Research:
- within NordLearn (Nordic network of excellence, 2008- )
- in collaboration with the Doctoral School in Educational Sciences (LinCS-DSES) University of Gothenburg (2008- ).
Participation at these courses may be financed by NATED or NordLearn.
