NATED Research Visit Grant
As part of the NATED aim to contribute towards competence building and internationalization of research education and educational research, the school offers NATED PhD students grants for international research visits (3- 6 months).
Applications may be submitted at any point throughout the year, to the NATED secretariat, k.a.ulfsnes@intermedia.uio.no.

Applications should contain
- a completed application form
- the following attachments:
- a plan for the research visit, your motivation, planned activities and schedule (1-2 page)
- a budget
- a letter of invitation from the host institution
- a letter of recommendation from your home institute and main supervisor
Expenses that may be covered:
- Documented living costs and added costs of settling in associated with a research visit abroad
- Travel expenses (cheapest mode of travel)
The overseas research grant rates of The Research Council of Norway are instructive but not binding
A NATED grant will not exceed 100 000 NKr.
NATED travel grant will be given within the first three year period of the PhD period.
Support may be granted for several shorter-term visits and more than one round-trip ticket for researchers who have school-age children and who choose to travel without their children and spouse/partner.
The grant will be given as a lump sum, and will be transferred from NATED to the applicant’s PhD programme institution/department.
