Two recent research talent projects have been granted to NATED-alumni by the FINNUT program in 2014 and 2015.
Grunnet en bedre budsjettsituasjon enn først antall ønsker NATED å utlyse midler til kortere utenlandsopphold og nettverksreiser for 2016. Den samlede rammen for utlysningen er 500 000.
Nine candidates and three track leaders from NATED Track 4 have recently conducted a network travel to the University of Helsinki. The aim of the trip was to establish contacts with research groups and PhD-students concerned with Higher education and Professional Learning, for the purpose of knowledge exchange and future cooperation.
Members of NATED track 3 have recently, 20 - 22 April 2015, participated in “Leadership, Policy and Educational Opportunity: New Directions in Research”, a working conference hosted by Northwestern University. The conference was held subsequently to the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), in Chicago.
The NATEDs seventh annual National PhD Days conference will take place in Oslo 11-13 November 2015. The host is the University of Oslo (UiO).
Members of track 1 has had a fruitful network visit at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia.
The NATEDs sixth annual National PhD Days conference will take place in Stavanger 13-15 October 2014. The host is the University of Stavanger (UiS).
The 11th ICO International Fall School 10-14 November is an international event for PhD-students who do research in the domains of learning, instruction and/or education.

Track 1 experienced great hospitality and academic excellence when visiting the Florida State University.
NATED is now temporarily closed for new admissions. NATED will admit new PhD students after two application deadlines: 1 March and 20 August 2014.

Professor Ola Erstad has been appointed to lead NATED from 2013. - My most important task will be to contiue the good work that has been done in NATED the first four years, says Erstad.
On December 7th 2012, Anne Berit Emstad defended her thesis for the degree of PhD, titled "The engagement of the principal in school evaluation utilization". The dissertation is a qualitative case-study using phenomenological interviews with principals, teachers and pupils at six primary schools which had implemented and completed one school evaluation.
Research on educational policy, governing of the educational sector and school leadership was on the agenda when Track 3 met with colleagues at the Berkeley Graduate School of Education.
Hilde Wågsås Afdal is the first NATED Track 4 candidate to defend her PhD research thesis. - NATED has provided me with significant help, she says.

NAFOL (The Norwegian National Graduate School for Teacher Education Network) invites NATED candidates to participate at the international conference "Teacher Education Research between National Identity and Global Trends", May 15 2012. in Trondheim.
Diversities between the universities is a challenge for national coordinative actions within research education. This was one of several themes at the first meeting for the national research schools financed by The Norwegian Research Council (NRC).
