Workplace learning is a generic term for informal and formal processes of learning within the workplace. Some examples of such processes are problem solving, mentoring arrangements, competence development, knowledge management, interdisciplinary cooperation, and learning through innovation activities.
The research at the Faculty of Education evolves around various aspects of workplace learning:
- How do changes in political, economical, and social relations influence/affect learning in the professional/work spheres?
- How do knowledge development and learning interact in different professional fields, and in individuals’ lifespan over time?
- How are new institutional practices and learning cultures created?
- How can one use/deploy and elaborate on information– and communication technologies within professional learning?
- How can schools be managed
