Research strategy

InterMedia do research in a blend of development and evaluation. A typical research project will include development of experimental technology to try out new forms of interactive learning and collaboration, detailed studies of how learning and use take place, and redesign based on gained experience.

InterMedia combine international collaboration and national projects. Financing research partly in the European Framework Programmes for research, the Norwegian Research Council, the University of Oslo, and occasionally private companies, InterMedia builds up a robust portfolio of research that take different angles to the subject of ICT, communication and learning.

Collaborating with a number of schools, comercial companies and cultural heritage institutions in the Oslo region, the research centre maintains relationship with education and communication practice and development in the field.
