I am Postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Education  (University of Oslo). During the coming two years I will be conducting my research at the Univeristy of Victoria, Canada, where I will collaborate with professor Wolff-Michael Roth and his research group.

Academic Interests

My research focuses on material, social, cultural, and affective aspects of learning across formal and informal settings, with an emphasis on creativity and imagination. I have conducted research in such diverse contexts as science and engineering learning in and outside classrooms, professional design, and aviation training. Currently, I lead and administrate the Knowing Bodies research project, which involves a 2-years stay at the University of Victoria (Canada) and as part of which I have conducted a participant ethnography at an arts-based elementary school.
