About the project

This study focuses on the interplay between computer supported group discourse and individual learning activities in teaching of Mathematics in secondary education.Instructional design ideas from research within the field of CSCL are used as an entrance to the field design development.

Objectives

To explore the role and function of context as a mediating means in computer supported educational practice

Research Design

The research design idea has evolved gradually as contextual information and field observations have been collected. The design is influenced by approaches discussed by proponents of design based research (Brown, 1992; Barab & Squire, 2004).
