Faglige interesser

Jeg har siden august 2014 vært professor og senterleder for CEMO ved Universitetet i Oslo, og har to oppgaver: Som senterleder må jeg sørge for at senteret utvikler et ambisiøst forsknings- og undervisningsprogram og oppnår de målene som vi har satt oss på høyt nasjonalt og internasjonalt nivå. Som forsker jobber jeg med anvendt forskning om relasjoner mellom læringsområde, kunnskap og yrkesøvelse – særlig med hensyn til studenter ved slutten av et stadium og overgangsprosessen i jobben, men også gjennom hele livsløpet. Jeg er vant til å bruke avanserte statistiske metoder, for eksempel bekreftende metoder som flernivås strukturell likningsmodellering eller utforskende metoder som latente klasseanalyser. Særinteressen min ligger på målings(non)invarians eller DIF og deres årsaker ved storskalaundersøkelser.

Mitt mål som CEMOs senterleder er å rekruttere nasjonalt og internasjonalt anerkjente kollegaer som professorer, postdoktorer, PhD-kandidater, professorer II eller gjesteforskere. I tillegg er det mitt ansvar å tilby gode arbeidsforhold i form av et trivelig samarbeidsklima, deltagelse i dagligdagse og strategiske beslutninger, tilstrekkelig tid for grunn- og anvendt forskning, veletablerte og transparente administrative rutiner, støtte gjennom finansiering og faglig utvikling, samt tilgang til nasjonale og internasjonale nettverk.
