Living and Learning in a Digital Age (LiDA)

Members of this group study the mediating functions of new cultural tools (psychological, technological, semiotic) and their implications for knowledge building, identity development, and social interaction in formal and informal learning activities.

Digital technologies are now part of nearly every aspect of everyday and institutional life (such as schools and museums), and we need to study the use and implications of new digital representations and tools for learning.

The aim of LiDA is to explore how young people construct knowledge in and across learning contexts in their daily life, online and offline.
