Professor Gita Steiner-Khamsi holds currently a dual academic affiliation, splitting her time between Columbia University, New York, and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. She is also a Director of the Network for international policies and cooperation in education and training (NORRAG). Her scholarly interests cover policy borrowing and lending, globalization studies, comparative policy studies and school reform and teacher policy.

Miriam Prieto Egido holds a PhD in Pedagogy and is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Didactics and Theory of Education, Faculty of Teachers’ Training and Education, Autonomous University of Madrid. Her main topics of research turn around the effects of public and educational discourse and policies on the concept of education.

Duration of visit: Miriam has won a scholarship from the Ministry of Education in Spain to visit the University of Oslo, Dep. of Teacher Education and School Research, for four months, (April – July, 2018).
