FIKS’ approach to DeKomp

Since its establishment in 2018, FIKS has continuously developed and adapted the interpretation of and approaches to DeKomp. Fundamentally, FIKS’ main aim is to establish long-lasting, local partnerships with the school sector. More specifically, these partnerships allow FIKS to work closely with school owners to identify and implement projects that are best suited to meet the needs of their schools and teachers.

In addition to working closely with school owners, school leaders and teachers through partnerships, FIKS conducts Research and developmental projects with the aim of improving practice in the classrooms. For instance, FIKS researchers published the report Good Examples of Practice in 2020; a report identifying and foregrounding good examples of digital practices from Norwegian one-to- one classrooms.

To systematize FIKS’ competence and expertise, we have developed a Knowledge Base (in Norwegian) that is continuously expanding. The topics we have specialized in are of particularly relevant for the new curricula, such as:

FIKS also offers competence development for participants outside our partnerships through activities such as webinars and breakfast seminars. These webinars and seminars are available on our YouTube-channel.
