Nayla Naoufal is a postdoctoral fellow within the research program LOCUMS. Among others, she will explore the integration of ecocitizenship, environmental justice, theater, and situated and embodied knowledge in the program. She is also exploring ways to integrate non-human nature in ecocitizenship practices and education. Formerly a dancer, Nayla has designed and facilitated sensory and choreographic explorations of place with communities and youth. She holds a PhD in Environmental Science  from Université du Québec à Montréal. She is also an Associate professor at the Research Center in Environmental and Ecocitizenship Education in Université du Québec à Montréal and  completed in 2016 a postdoctoral fellowship about ecocitizenship, environmental justice and education at the Faculty of Education Science at the Laval University (Canada). Nayla has also worked as a researcher and pedagogical designer at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and as a journalist in arts and environmental issues.
