Academical interests

My general research interests relate to knowledge practices and learning in the professions, and in the teaching profession in particular, with specific reference to:

  • The interplay between knowledge and responsibility in professional work
  • Changing dynamics in teachers’ professional practice

I work with sociomaterial theories and qualitative methods.

In my completed PhD project (2020) I investigated teachers' local curriculum development as knowledge work. The study explored practices that professional teachers carry out as they work to generate and legitimate the knowledge that inform their professional work. 

At current, I am involved in a research project that investigates changes in teachers' assessment practices.
