QUINT PhD Summer Institute: Call for abstracts

PhD candidates are invited to submit abstracts to QUINT PhD Summer Institute "Frameworks for Analysing Teaching Quality: Methods, Measures and Meaning-making", 31 August-1 September 2021.

QUINT PhD Summer Institute takes place on 31 August -1 September 2021 in Iceland/Online depending on the situation in Europe and the world. If the situation allows for an in-person event in Iceland, the first two days (31.08-01.09) will be devoted to the QUINT PhD Summer Institute, with the QUINT conference organised on the following days (02.09-03.09). 

This call is opened to PhD students interested in ways of/ frameworks for analysing teaching quality: methodological, conceptual, and/or theoretical aspects. Ways of interpreting and representing results and data are also welcomed as points for discussions.

Abstract submission guidelines

Abstract submission should detail the aims, methodology, findings and theoretical and educational significance of this research.

Deadline: Tuesday 25 May 2021

Assessment criteria

Abstracts will be reviewed by the experts from the QUINT Management Group (Link to bios). Review criteria:

  • Aims
  • Methodology
  • Findings (final or preliminary)
  • Theoretical and educational significance
  • Relevance to the QUINT ambition (priority)

Practical information

Format and place of this Summer Institute depends on the pandemic situation in Europe and the world. In case of travel restrictions, this PhD Summer Institute will be held online. To be updated in May.

QUINT PhD stipend

QUINT provides stipend to all PhD students, also outside the QUINT PhD network (funding upon acceptance). Eligibility criteria and application guidelines will be announced if travelling is possible.
