QUINT researcher to talk about potential of OECD's TALIS video study

QUINT Center Director Kirsti Klette will participate in the interactive forum where the results and research opportunities of the OECD's Global Teaching InSights Video Study.

OECD's Global Teaching InSights Video Study—formerly known as the Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) Video Study—examines classroom management, social-emotional support and instructional practices in the classroom, as well as students’ opportunities to learn the content specified in the curricula. On the 11 March 2021, the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are holding an interactive forum to discuss research opportunities and lessons learned from the study.

After the presentation of  the methodology, data, and lessons learned from the study, an international panel of researchers, including QUINT Director Kirsti Klette (photo), will consider the potential research use of the study.

The event is open for all researchers interested in investigating teaching and learning across countries, video analysis, mathematics education, and comparative studies. Information about the program and registration is available on the AERA's website.
