Jóhann Örn Sigurjónsson

Sigurjónsson’s main field of study is mathematics education. Research interests are mathematics learning materials, cognitive activation and the development of mathematics teaching.
Sigurjónsson has worked as a teacher since 2013. He has B.Ed. and M.Ed. degrees in mathematics teaching and a B.Sc. degree in computational science from the University of Iceland. He has worked as a mathematics teacher in lower secondary school and as assistant teacher at the University of Iceland. Sigurjónsson took part in an International Master’s Programme in Educational Research at the University of Gothenburg.
