The award will be awarded annually starting in 2025. All academic staff at the Faculty of Education can nominate candidates. The nominations should be substantiated and explicitly outline the reasons why the candidate(s) deserve the award.
- The award is awarded to a researcher, a research group, or a research environment within the Faculty of Education. There is no distinction made between junior and more established researchers, and consideration will be given to where the candidate(s) are in their academic career trajectory.
- The award is awarded to the candidate(s) who have distinguished themselves through outstanding research.
- If two or more candidates are deemed equal after a professional assessment, decisive weight will be given to their efforts to build or strengthen the respective research environment at the Faculty of Education.
- The award is awarded for documented contributions in the form of:
- Scientific publications,
- Other visible expressions of the candidate's reputation, status, and impact in national and international academic communities (for example, awards), and
- The candidate's significance for their own research environment, particularly in terms of environmental development and research advancement efforts (organising international seminars, etc.).
- The prize consists of a stipend (operating funds) of NOK 20,000 and a graphic print. The prize will be awarded at the faculty's Christmas closing event each year in December.
- The prize money should be used for research activities or other initiatives that are suitable for strengthening the prize winner's research activities and ambitions.
