Doctoral project:

Challenges and opportunities of becoming a teacher in hybrid spaces: the perceptions of pre-service teachers in professional practice

This research project intends to analyze the collaboration dynamics of teacher educators and pre-service teachers at the Department of Teacher Education at UiO and partner schools. This project will also examine the challenges and opportunities that arise from their work in hybrid spaces and how such work can help bridge the gap between theory and practice in initial teacher education programs. I intend to explore the campus-school disconnection by demonstrating how pre-service teachers learn to and from hybrid spaces during their professional practice in schools. In doing so, I will explore how pre-service teachers perceive the challenges and opportunities that arise from the third space in regard to their process of becoming teachers. Through this research project, I aim to contribute to a better quality of teacher education and partnerships in Norway and, potentially, beyond.
