Professor Hanna Ragnarsdóttir starts the event by introducing the project and its goals of increasing teachers' competencies to teach in multicultural and multilingual classes and contributing to global education and citizenship.

Susan Rafik Hama and Zulaia Johnston da Cruz lead a practical exercise about exclusion and the importance of belonging to a group. In the exercise, the participants receive notes in different colors. The photo shows two of the participants up front with their pink notes, engaged in a discussion about how to use this exercise in class.

They also address and discuss the concept of global citizenship education. In the second half of the event, Professor Kristín Jónsdóttir introduces the concept of digital citizenship and how digitalization and GDPR regulations impact home-school cooperation. Lastly, the approx. 40 participants do an exercise about reactions to hate speech online and engage in a discussion on diverse aspects of digitalization in their schools.
