Workshop: Sustainable Global Citizenship Education

This workshop will bring together the GatherED project members of the five partner universities and about 20-25 invited curriculum advisors, teachers, student teachers and teacher educators from project partner organisations, to share knowledge on the project theme.

The primary aim of the workshop will involve the development of an open online EdX course. The course will build on the experiences, learning and evaluation of the first GatherED Workshop in Crete, and the second Workshop in Oslo, as well as on multiplier events in the partner countries. 

The aims of the EdX course are:

  1. to develop competencies concerning diversity in multilingual and multicultural contexts
  2. to develop an understanding of digital responsibility and the development of responsible digital behaviour concerning the aforementioned
  3. to develop an understanding of global citizenship education
  4. to provide an open access and sustainable platform for teachers to acquire these competencies and understanding.
