Opening of Academic Year and the "Jonas" prize for 2011

The Department of Special Needs Education is celebrating its 5o-year anniversary this year and to mark this occasion the opening of the academic year 2011-2012 will be held in the University's Aula. The "Jonas" prize for 2011 will also be awarded during the opening ceremony.

All employees and students at the Department of Special Needs Education are invited to the opening of the academic year 2011-2012 in the University Aula 23rd August. For more information please see programme. (pdf)

The "Jonas" prize is awarded to a person, organization or institution that has made extraordinary efforts to promote awareness about disabled persons and disability discrimination in society. The nominees are ranked with a particular emphasis on efforts to create a more tolerant society where differences between individuals are seen as an advantage rather than a problem.
