Captain Morph in Stavanger

Thursday and Friday last week, a conference on process data in education was held at the University of Stavanger. Researchers from Captain Morph were at the scene and presented on both days.

About the conference

The objective of the conference is to explore “how process data from digital educational environments – especially timestamped log data from reading apps and digital assessments - can be harnessed to better understand students’ learning processes, detect learning difficulties early, and support personalized education.” Read more here.

Janne von Koss Torkildsen presented the intervention studies and the Captain Morph morphology app, while Jarl Kleppe Kristensen focused on repeated mistakes in app-based learning. Andreas Falck presented both on the topic of suggesting and evaluating solutions in an educational multiplayer game, and measuring patterns of agreement and disagreement in collaborative learning. The presentations received useful feedback and contributed to interesting discussions on digital learning tools.
