About the Events

Roundtable (April 28): Navigating Collaborative and Simultaneous Writing

Collaborating on papers with multiple people and managing multiple papers simultaneously is a hallmark of postdoctoral life. Join us as Athanasios Protopapas, Esther Ulitzsch and Ronny Scherer from CREATE present and discuss effective strategies for coordinating with coauthors, integrating feedback into drafts, prioritizing time across papers, and avoiding burnout.

How we approach our own writing and how we conceive of its role in our research is critical. Join us as we discuss principal perspectives on writing, sustainable writing practice, and the relationship between research and writing. The seminar is led by David Burke, writing pedagogue and head of the UiO Academic Writing Centre.

Workshop (April 30): Writing Efficient Literature Reviews

Writing the literature review in the introduction part of a manuscript doesn’t need to be scoping. Join us in this small-group writing activity as we analyze articles from our own target journals to discover strategies for concise and impactful literature reviews.
