Before you start working on your thesis it is important that you familiarize yourself with the requirements for the Master's Thesis.

Supervision
Information about the Master's Thesis supervision
A signed supervision agreement must be submitted to the Centre for Educational Measurement by September 15 (third semester)
You can hand in the supervision agreement through the webform below, or by giving it to your administrative study coordinator.

Information form
A signed information form must be submitted to the Centre for Educational Measurement by March 31 (fourth semester).
If you have postponed the submission of your thesis until the autumn semester, you must hand in a new information form within September 30 (fifth semester)

Submission of Thesis
The submission of the Master's Thesis is electronic and it needs to be submitted both through Inspera and Studentweb.
98 days after you submit your thesis, it will be available to the public through the DUO research archive.

Grading
What if the thesis does not pass?
- A master's thesis that has received the examination result "Fail" may only be resubmitted once as a new examination attempt, and then by the agreed date and in reworked form. A master's thesis that has received the examination result "Pass" cannot be resubmitted in reworked form.

Diploma
When you have completed a study programme, your diploma is issued automatically when the deadline to appeal the result has passed. You will find your diploma along with a diploma supplement as a digitally signed pdf in the document archive in Studentweb. You will be notified when the diploma is ready.

If you want to improve the results that constitute part of a degree, you can defer your diploma for up to two semesters. The deadline to defer your diploma is June 25 if you complete your degree in the spring semester, and January 5 if you complete your degree in the autumn semester.
Please note that diplomas and diploma supplements are only issued once. If you would like the documents translated into other languages, you should contact a translation company.
