About the project

ArtPOWER.SustainABILITY is a collaboration between University of Oslo, the Nordic Council of Ministers, Blindern vgs, and Kulturtanken. In this project, an artist and biology and chemistry teachers work together to design teaching methods that integrate art and science in exploring a local sustainability challenge. The project investigates the opportunities and challenges this collaboration presents for students, teachers, and the network. It also develops educational resources that will be published as part of the REDEtil resource from the REDE project.

Background

The project is part of the open schooling initiative at the University of Oslo, which aims to build networks and support collaboration between schools and external actors to help address local sustainability challenges. This project represents a continuation and further development of open schooling, focusing on the role of art and culture in driving transformative change towards sustainable development.
