DYNAMICS OF DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Completed as part of Mediatized Stories

Editor: Knut Lundby

The second goal of the MEDIATIZED STORIES project was to analyse the socio-cultural dynamics of mediation/mediatization when people shape and share their lives through self-representation in digital storytelling.

A collection on Digital Storytelling, Mediatized Stories. Self-representations in New Media was published by Peter Lang in New York 2008. The book engages with the dynamism of digital storytelling in short, personal stories. The volume carries chapters by 17 of the researchers in the MEDIATIZED STORIES project as well as by John Hartley and Kelly McWilliam from Queensland University of Technology who edited Story Circle. Digital Storytelling Around the World (2009).
