About the project
The project, which is a part of the research project Evaluation of the new curriculum reform (EDUCATE), investigates how AI affects teachers' practice. Through video observation and interviews, the project aims to gain insight into how a selection of teachers utilize AI in their teaching so that it strengthens students' learning, and how this new technology influences their assessment practices. The main objective of the project is to map how Norwegian teachers use and teach AI, thereby contributing to the knowledge of how AI can be used in a manner that enhances teachers' instruction and students' learning.'
Background
In order be active citizens in an increasingly digitalized society, it is crucial that students develop their digital competence. The skills that students must master are increasingly complex, such as digital judgment in the face of new and complex technology. The generative AI, which became available to the public in 2022, bring both opportunities and challenges for students' learning, and there is a need for further research on how this technology can be utilized to enhance students' learning.
