2012 Kick-off worskhop

The new year has started and the MIRACLE team is getting ready for its 4th iteration design-work. After a fruitful pilot study in November, new concepts and ideas will be developed and re-designed during the following months. With the purpose of promoting creative thinking and collaboration, the team will meet during tuesday 3rd and wednesday 4th of January at a country-side house in Nesodden. During these two days, the main objective will be to set an overall plan for this first four-month period. Organized in plenary and group discussions, the team will tackle pedagogical issues such as further defining notions of inquiry, scaffolding and teacher intervention, as well as formulating specific curricular themes. Outlining different interfaces, interactive representations and learning scenarios will be also focus of the workshop. A major theme will be the experimental setup for the forthcoming trial in the schools and the museum during April 2012. In this regard, the team will also plan for a close collaboration with our partners from the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology, CoDesign, Storm Studios, as well as with our teacher's reference group, during the coming months.
