Hans Christian Arnseth, Ingeborg Krange, and Ole Smørdal will be presenting at the International Society for Cultural Activity Research (ISCAR) congress, which will be held in Rome between 5-10 september. In a symposium on "teacher interventions in web-based learning settings", Arnseth and Krange will present "Constructing visual displays of information through graphs. The meanings and functions of teacher interventions in students' scientific knowing". Smørdal, in turn, will join a paper session on "Learning, semiotic activity and emotional competence". Due to the socio-cultural approach on learning we take in the MIRACLE project, our presence at ISCAR is very relevant, and it provides us both a means for dissemination and a source of insight and inspiration.
