Sammendrag
Circle time, a common activity in early childhood education, involves teachers and children gathering in a circle for various activities. This practice fosters social interaction, communication, and emotional development. The objective of this study was to understand the interrelationship between teachers’ perceptions of the emotional and social benefits of positive teacher-child interactions during circle time. Through qualitative research methods, including observations and interviews, the study examined teachers’ perceptions of children, circle time practices, and affective interactions. The findings revealed that circle time plays a crucial role in promoting social-emotional development, providing a safe space for children to express themselves, build relationships, and develop empathy. Also Circle time is a widely used activity in early childhood education that fosters a sense of community and facilitates learning. It creates a space where playfulness and educational content can seamlessly integrate, promoting a positive and engaging learning environment.
