Thursday 20th of Novemberm, the first MIRACLE's reference group meeting took place at InterMedia. The MIRACLE's reference group is constituted as a team of experts in fields within ICT and Learning. Dr. Julia Gillen, senior lecturer in digital literacies at the department of Lancaster University, Dr. Annika Lantz Andersson, senior lecturer in education at the Linneaus Center for Research on Learning, Interaction and Mediated Communication in Contemporary Society (University of Gothenburg), and Dr. Sten Ludvigsen, professor at InterMedia (University of Oslo) gave a number of interesting presentations and valuable comments and questions for further development in a seminar-like event. In addition, Morten Dæhlen, head of the departmant of informatics (University of Oslo) and Halina Gottlieb, funding director of NODEM International (Stockholm), though could not join the seminar meeting, are also part of the reference group and will have input into the project.

The considerations of the reference group were based on a set of documents that were sent in advance to the experts, such as research articles and development manuscripts, but also on real-time presentations of the technologies under development that the MIRACLE team performed during the meeting. The comments and insights gained through the different presentations and discussions were (and will be) very valuable tool for our further development work, and we are very thankful to all the members of the reference group for their input. Another reference group meeting will be held during 2012, and we look forward to it.
