Institutt for spesialpedagogikk inviterer til en åpen fagdag onsdag 27. august 2025. Vi setter søkelyset på hvordan foreldre til barn med funksjonsnedsettelser bidrar til å endre oppfølgingstilbud og retningen for forskningsarbeid. Vi vil illustrere temaet med to konkrete eksempler: kognitiv oppfølging av barn med cerebral parese og barnedemens.

Master Shilan Ahmadian at Department of Teacher Education and School Research will be defending the thesis "How Teachers Teach With Digital Games and How Students Use Them as Resources in Everyday English Instruction: Capturing Multiple Voices and Perspectives in Six Secondary Classrooms in Norway" for the degree of PhD.

Welcome to the International History of Education Summer School 2025! In this year summer school, postgraduate students will engage in academic dialogues about historical trajectories and discourses and new ways of working with images, artefacts, and archives.

Welcome to this seminar with our guest researcher, PhD candidate Margot Rémeau from Université Paris Cité. She will present findings from her doctoral project, which takes a longitudinal approach to systematically investigate the predictive and mediating roles of transversal skills in the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES) and academic achievement.

Cand. philol. Vanja Røkkum Jahnsen ved Institutt for lærerutdanning og skoleforskning vil forsvare sin avhandling "«Det er så fint å få en sjanse til»: Utvikling og utforsking av et undervisningsdesign ment å støtte elevers arbeid med tekstrevisjon i norskfaget på videregående skole" for graden Philosophiae Doctor (ph.d.).

This seminar will be given by PhD candidate Dzan Zelihic, from the Department of Special Needs Education. He will present work that is part of his doctoral project, where a novel variant of the Visual World Paradigm (VWP) is employed to investigate lexical activation in the presence of adjacent stimuli.
